Why microcement in the kitchen
Microcement in kitchen design is popular due to its durability, style, and practicality. Here are the main benefits it brings directly to everyday kitchen life.

Walls and backsplash
/ 03
Seamless backsplash
The backsplash behind the stove and sink suffers the most from splashes and steam. Microcement solves this with a single continuous surface – without tile joints where grease accumulates.
It is a modern alternative to tiles, glass, or marble. Microcement is applied on site, tailored precisely to the dimensions of your kitchen, and the shade can be matched to the fronts and countertop.
It can also be applied directly over existing tiles. Sealed with 4720 Decor Topcoating, it is moisture-resistant and easy to clean – a single wipe with a damp cloth is all it takes.
Seamless application creates an elegant feature in the space: the surface is smooth and uniform, with no lines where dirt can gather. It protects the walls from splashes and stains while simultaneously becoming the visual centerpiece of the kitchen.
Kitchen walls
Microcement refreshes kitchen walls without high costs or lengthy renovations – just a thin coating over the existing surface.
It is resistant to daily impacts and moisture, as well as food stains and splashes, keeping the walls clean even near the stove and sink.
Seamless application without visible join lines creates a smooth, uniform surface that is easy to clean – available in various textures and 10 shades, from minimalism to a warmer, tactile effect.
The result is a high-value decorative finish without high costs: microcement gives kitchen walls character and cohesion that remains timeless for years – whether you choose a minimal or a warmer, more natural feel.
Microcement shades

Shades for the kitchen
In the kitchen, color sets the mood – from calm neutrals to dramatic anthracite.
Light shades – White, Silver, and Grey – make the space feel larger and calmer, pairing well with wood and natural materials. Darker Steel and Anthracite create a modern, dramatic accent, while Olive adds warmth.
The shade can be selected and matched to the kitchen fronts and countertop – choosing either a subtle, understated solution or a bold, eye-catching accent. Each shade is evenly pigmented throughout the material.

Care and maintenance
/ 07
Care and durability
A properly sealed and maintained microcement surface in the kitchen lasts for years and remains easy to clean.
Daily care
Care for microcement just like any decorative finish. Regular cleaning with a damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive agent is usually all that is needed – no tile joints to scrub.
Avoid splashes of hot cooking oil directly on the surface, as they can damage the protective lacquer over time. If microcement is applied over an old backsplash, it must first be thoroughly cleaned and degreased – the material only adheres well to a clean substrate.
Durability in kitchen conditions
Hardened and sealed with 4720 Decor Topcoating, microcement is resistant to moisture, steam, and everyday impacts – essential properties in the kitchen.
It is resistant to food stains and splashes, keeping the walls clean even in the busiest areas behind the stove and sink. A properly maintained surface retains its appearance for many years.
