General

About microcement in general.

A thin cement-based coating (1 – 2 mm) applied directly over existing surfaces, creating a seamless, monolithic, matte finish with no tile joints.

6820 micro decor (indoors): 1 – 2 mm.
6840 decor (facades): 2 – 5 mm.

No. Microcement is a mineral material with a warm, tactile texture – much warmer than tiles or smooth concrete.

Yes. A smooth, even surface requires proper application technique and experience.

Substrates and application

On which materials and how it can be applied.

6820 is suitable for tiles, concrete, drywall, and painted walls.
6840 (facades) for brick, concrete, Leca blocks, and masonry.

Yes. Clean, roughen, and prime the tiles with 4170 decor primer. If you don't want the tile joints to show through, level them first.

Yes, if the paint is well-adhered. The surface is roughened and primed; any loose, old paint must be removed first.

A steel trowel achieves a smoother surface, while a brush, roller, or sprayer creates a more pronounced, textured effect (especially 6840 decor).

Water and bathroom

Moisture, water resistance, and shower area.

Sealed with 4720 decor topcoating, it is resistant to moisture and splashes – suitable for bathroom walls.

No. It cannot withstand a direct, continuous stream of water, so use tiles or another waterproof solution in the shower. It works great in the rest of the bathroom.

In wet areas, waterproofing is recommended under the surface, especially around the bathtub and shower – it protects the structure from moisture.

Rooms and applications

Where to use it in the house.
Yes. As a backsplash, it is resistant to splashes and steam, and free from tile joints where grease accumulates.

6820 micro decor is designed for walls. Countertops require a special, more durable system – contact us for a solution.

Yes. It is a safe, matte surface with no harsh odor once dry – ideal for accent walls and a calming atmosphere.

Often, a single accent wall works best; it can also be extended to the entire room or multiple walls, as desired.

Not the tread surface of the step – it would wear down over time. Sides, vertical risers, and surrounding walls – yes; use wood, stone, or tiles for the treads.

Facades and outdoor spaces

6840 decor for outdoor conditions / outdoors.

6820 is a pigmented indoor microcement (10 shades, 1 - 2 mm).
6840 is a white facade plaster for outdoor conditions – frost and water resistant, 2 - 5 mm.

Yes. 6840 decor is frost resistant and withstands freeze - thaw cycles without cracking.

No. It is a wall plaster for vertical surfaces. Use a different, more durable material for outdoor floors and paving.

6840 is base white. Color can be achieved by coating the surface with a diffusion-open (breathable) facade paint, preserving the wall's breathability.

6820 micro decor comes in 10 factory-mixed shades – from light White and Silver to deep Anthracite and colorful tones.
6840 decor is white.

On-screen colors may differ slightly from the real material.

Yes. The pigment is evenly mixed throughout the entire material, with a subtle, natural tonal variation – rather than just on the surface.

Care and durability

Daily maintenance and service life.

Wipe with a damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. There are no tile joints, making maintenance minimal and hygienic.

As a mineral surface, it withstands daily heat, e.g., behind a stove. However, do not place hot cookware directly on the surface.

Everyday splashes are harmless, but avoid hot cooking oil splashes directly on the surface – over time, they can damage the protective lacquer.

A properly applied and maintained surface lasts for years.
